About Us

The team of staff at Playbox Nursery are dedicated and passionate about ensuring that children achieve the learning outcomes and reach their full potential.

Our aim is to enhance the development of all children from 2 to 5 years of age. We offer a high ratio of adults to children, which enables us to give individual care and attention, as well as fun and friendship with other children and adults.

Mrs Louisa Millea

Manager

Having worked at Playbox for over 5 years now, I am passionate about continuing to maintain a high level of early years care and education in my new role as manager.

I have had two children who have attended Playbox and I have loved everything about the setting. After volunteering on the Playbox Management Committee in 2018 I haven’t looked back.

I am a qualified at a level 3  Early years practitioner and Designated Safeguarding Lead.

In my spare time I enjoy cooking and crafting with my children.

Mrs Amanda Darley

Deputy Manager and SENDCO

I have worked at Playbox since 2014, I am qualified with a N.N.E.B level 3 and in 2018 qualified as the Playbox SENDCO (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator).

I have two children who attended The Playbox nursery and during that time I was also a keen volunteer and on the Playbox committee. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, being by the sea and travelling.

Mrs Rampling

I have been a volunteer at Playbox nursery since my children attended 20 years ago, In 2016 I qualified NCFE CACHE level 2 for the children and young peoples workforce and have been employed as an assistant.

I have run a Brownie pack for 38 years which has been full of adventures.

I have a child who attended Playbox and then I took on this role in 2012 doing the wages and finances and I am on the Playbox management committee.

In my spare time I enjoy caravanning and gardening.

Mrs Lavelle

Assistant

I have recently joined the team at Playbox where my son attended and he absolutely loved it .

I am so happy to be part of the Playbox team, I love imaginative play with the children also singing and dancing!

I have over 10 years experience within Early years, I hold a Level 3 child care qualification and I also hold a degree in Children’s care and Learning.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, organising and Yoga.

Mrs Diggins

Administrator

I have been in childcare for 30 years. I have worked as a manager of a pre-school and also as a trainer for Suffolk County Council. I am a qualified SENCO and have a passion for supporting speech and language. I also love the administrative side so I am looking forward to my new role.

I love being with my family. I also love going out for meals, walking, holidays and going to the gym.

Mrs Isom

Assistant

I have worked in and out of early years settings for over 10 years and also have experience in primary, secondary and special education settings. I hold a level 3 early years educator qualification and a degree in psychology.

I love Playbox, both of my children have attended and love it here and I am really excited to be part of the team!
I enjoy spending time with my family, days out (especially the zoo!), music and art.
